Find and export
your Google Analytics data.
GA4's BigQuery export can provide raw event storage in GB. Without an existing export, the available inventory may be an event count from reports, with a different level of detail and history.

Find your Google Analytics data size
- Open Admin → Product links → BigQuery links for the GA4 property.
- If linked, inspect the Analytics dataset's logical table storage in the matching BigQuery project and region.
- Without a retained warehouse copy, open the Events report, select the required dates and record Event count.
- Review the property's data-retention settings and the actual earliest dates available in each source.
What to include in your data inventory
Report in GB for a measured BigQuery collection, naming the property, dataset and storage basis. Give event counts when those are the available quantified figures.
Describe the link start date, retained event dates and event definitions. Identify any company-saved older exports.
Export your Google Analytics history
- For an existing BigQuery archive, export the agreed event tables through BigQuery's supported Cloud Storage route.
- If setting up future collection, have an authorized administrator review Admin → Product links → BigQuery links.
- Confirm the property and project permissions, daily or streaming options and applicable costs.
- Preserve event schemas and the property context with the downloaded data.
A newly created link should not be assumed to recreate earlier raw events. Confirm the actual export start and historical coverage.
Aggregated report data and raw event tables have different contents. Describe them separately.
Why Google Analytics data has value for AI training
Event streams can show how visitors move through a business's site or application.
Event definitions and transaction context help connect those paths with completed actions.
What stays private
Choose properties, events and fields in scope, reviewing identifiers and consent-related data handling.
Telegraph Lab reviews the proposed material with you and agrees how sensitive information will be handled. Preparation can include excluding material, redacting details and replacing personal identifiers. Your company keeps ownership; the licensing agreement defines the material, permitted uses and authorized recipients.
Common questions about Google Analytics data
Can we report an event count instead of measured storage?
Provide the count with its source and date range, describing what raw detail is available.
Will linking BigQuery recover every earlier event?
Check the export's actual start date and historical coverage; do not assume a complete backfill.
Is a report total equivalent to raw event rows?
They have different reporting and processing scopes. Identify each source.
Where do we measure GB?
Use the retained BigQuery tables or exported files and state the measurement basis.
