Accounting and ERP

Find and export
your SAP data.

SAP covers several products and hosting arrangements. The right count and export route depends on the company system, its database and the modules containing the business history.

Find your SAP data size

  1. Ask the SAP technical administrator or partner which product and database the company runs.
  2. For an appropriate ECC or S/4HANA environment, ask the Basis team, which manages SAP's technical infrastructure, to review DB02 database statistics.
  3. For Business One, ask the database administrator for the company database size.
  4. Obtain counts for the business tables or documents in scope where available.
Database storage and business-record counts are different measures. Report either available quantity with the product, unit and scope clearly stated.

What to include in your data inventory

Report database storage in GB, naming the product, company codes and modules included. Give business-record counts separately where available.

Describe the retained years, files and active users, including archived history managed outside the live database.

Add the dates covered and the people who use this software. Label estimates and describe how you calculated them.

Export your SAP history

  1. Agree the company codes, modules, tables and years with the technical team or SAP partner.
  2. Use the extraction route supported by the product, hosting arrangement and contract.
  3. For Business One, have the administrator review the supported full-database backup and associated file collection.
  4. Check the resulting data, schema and document relationships against the agreed inventory.

SAP has no universal export procedure across its products. The technical team should confirm the supported extraction for the actual system.

A live-database size can exclude archived documents or external content stores. Inventory those locations explicitly.

Why SAP data has value for AI training

ERP records can connect procurement, stock movements and financial processing across an organization.

Their relationships can show how business rules are applied to real operational events.

What stays private

Choose company codes and business tables in scope, reviewing contract rights and sensitive financial or personnel fields.

Telegraph Lab reviews the proposed material with you and agrees how sensitive information will be handled. Preparation can include excluding material, redacting details and replacing personal identifiers. Your company keeps ownership; the licensing agreement defines the material, permitted uses and authorized recipients.
