Find your BambooHR data size
- Use the Account Owner or an administrator with the required employee and field access.
- Open Reports and create or select the appropriate custom report.
- Include employee identifiers, status and relevant dates, with inactive employees where in scope.
- Count the full employee rows and, if used, run time-entry reports for the retained period.
What to include in your data inventory
Report in records, separating employee profiles, time entries and any candidate records. Describe document availability without including personal details.
Give the earliest retained dates and active or former-employee scope. Quantities and field descriptions support the initial review.
Export your BambooHR history
- Open each agreed report and use the More menu's export controls.
- Choose CSV or Excel where available and retain the employee identifiers linking the files.
- For agreed personnel documents or a wider account collection, have the Account Owner confirm the current supported route with BambooHR.
- For repeatable structured retrieval, ask a developer to review the current report API and its permissions.
A report export contains selected fields. Actual personnel documents need separate coverage checks.
API and report capabilities change, so use the current supported endpoint rather than assuming an older report interface remains available.
Why BambooHR data has value for AI training
De-identified records can show how employee lifecycle events and operational reporting relate.
Time records and field definitions can add context about routine workforce processes.
What stays private
Keep the inventory to counts and descriptions. Any later collection of employee details or documents requires agreed preparation and scope.
Telegraph Lab reviews the proposed material with you and agrees how sensitive information will be handled. Preparation can include excluding material, redacting details and replacing personal identifiers. Your company keeps ownership; the licensing agreement defines the material, permitted uses and authorized recipients.
