HR and payroll

Find and export
your Rippling data.

Rippling reports can combine workforce records across products. The requesting user's permission profile controls which people and fields appear, so scope is central to the count.

Find your Rippling data size

  1. Use an administrator whose permission profile covers the required employees, entities and products.
  2. Open Reports and create a custom report or use an appropriate template.
  3. Count employee profiles with the agreed active and terminated-status filters.
  4. Run payroll and time reports for the retained period, naming the record type behind each row count.
A report's visibility follows the permission profile. A team manager's count may cover only part of the company.

What to include in your data inventory

Report in records, separating employee profiles, payroll runs or entries and time records. Describe the Rippling products represented.

Give the earliest retained dates and entity scope. Share quantities and field descriptions for the initial review.

Add the dates covered and the people who use this software. Label estimates and describe how you calculated them.

Export your Rippling history

  1. Save reports with the agreed fields, entity and status filters.
  2. Use each report's available download or export control to collect the complete table.
  3. Split large histories into documented non-overlapping periods if needed.
  4. Confirm file formats, row limits or a larger extraction route with the Rippling account team.

Reports can include connected-app data. Identify its origin and rights separately from native Rippling records.

Check both filters and export completeness before adding the quantities across products.

Why Rippling data has value for AI training

De-identified workforce history can show how roles, time records and payroll processes change together.

Product and field context helps distinguish a person record from the events associated with that person.

What stays private

Keep the inventory to counts and descriptions. Agree the scope and sensitive-field preparation before any personnel-data delivery.

Telegraph Lab reviews the proposed material with you and agrees how sensitive information will be handled. Preparation can include excluding material, redacting details and replacing personal identifiers. Your company keeps ownership; the licensing agreement defines the material, permitted uses and authorized recipients.
