Buildertrend's supported grids can provide project and item counts. Construction files and daily-log material need their availability checked beyond the spreadsheet export.

Find your Buildertrend data size
- Open the Jobs List with access to the projects in scope.
- Adjust its filters to cover the required active and historical jobs.
- Use Export in the top-right of a supported grid to download Excel.
- Count the job rows and repeat for relevant budget, time or other supported grids.
What to include in your data inventory
Report in records, naming the grids behind the counts. Describe photos, plans, daily logs and other documents separately.
Use the earliest included project dates and identify the staff accounts and project scope represented.
Export your Buildertrend history
- Configure each supported grid's filters and columns for the required history.
- Export the Jobs List and other relevant grids to Excel.
- Keep project identifiers with every spreadsheet.
- Ask Buildertrend support or the account manager for a supported route to collect the associated files and fuller account history.
The grid export provides an Excel document for that view. Its coverage should be checked before treating it as a full account archive.
Photos and plans need separate collection and should remain associated with their projects.
