Find your Dialpad data size

  1. Open Analytics with company or relevant group access.
  2. Select the office, group and date range to measure.
  3. Choose Export (.csv), select call logs and send the report.
  4. Ask Customer Care to enable the Recordings export when needed. Count retained recordings and total their durations.
The recordings export is not enabled by default. Analytics permissions and product retention determine the history available.

What to include in your data inventory

Report in hours, with recording count and dates. Label a figure based on call-log durations as an estimate.

Describe the offices or teams, available transcripts and any separate storage backups. Use the oldest available recording for the start date.

Add the dates covered and the people who use this software. Label estimates and describe how you calculated them.

Export your Dialpad history

  1. Export the call-log CSV for the required offices or groups.
  2. Run the enabled Recordings export to obtain recording links.
  3. Download the linked MP3 files and keep their call identifiers.
  4. For eligible Contact Center accounts, ask the administrator about Bulk Backup to Google Cloud Storage and separate transcript extraction.

The recordings report excludes admin call recordings, which use another access route. Group recordings require the appropriate group permissions.

Analytics exports do not establish complete transcript coverage. Check the transcript API and account retention separately.

Why Dialpad data has value for AI training

Calls and transcripts can show how agents explain products, troubleshoot problems and respond to changing customer needs.

Group context can connect the conversation to the workflow that produced it.

What stays private

Select the lines, groups and dates in scope. Review private or sensitive recordings separately.

Telegraph Lab reviews the proposed material with you and agrees how sensitive information will be handled. Preparation can include excluding material, redacting details and replacing personal identifiers. Your company keeps ownership; the licensing agreement defines the material, permitted uses and authorized recipients.
